Author description

Kes Gray is an author of more than 50 books for children of all ages, including the acclaimed Daisy series illustrated by Nick Sharratt and Garry Parsons. As well as winning the Red House Children's Book Award for Eat Your Peas, Billy's Bucket and Daisy and the Trouble With Zoos (all published by Random House), Kes was noted by The Independent as one of the top ten children's authors in the UK only a year after publishing his first book. If Kes could have a superpower, he'd like to have the ability to evaporate people who look at their mobile phones in cinemas. Kes lives in Essex with his wife, children and an assortment of animals. Nikki Dyson graduated in Illustration in 2006 and has worked as an illustrator ever since. She most recently illustrated 1000 Animals and 1000 Things to Eat for Usborne. Nikki is very experienced at drawing superheroes having also illustrated How to eb a Superhero written by Sue Fliess for Little Golden Books. When she's not busy creating superheroes, Nikki enjoys reading and watching cartoons. If she could have a superpower of her own, it would be to have supersonic speed so she could draw twice as much! Nikki lives and works from her home in Oxfordshire.
